For almost 18 years, I have had the opportunity to be involved with the National Student Nurses' Association as a student, volunteer convention staff, and now as a NSNA staff member. The people I have met throughout my years have molded me into the nurse I am today and have guided me where I am headed in the future.
The Foundation of the National Student Nurses' Association (FNSNA) provided myself and many fellow students with scholarships during our education. This year marks the 50th year that the FNSNA has been giving scholarships and making a difference! As a student, the dream is to become a registered nurse, and to have the financial burden reduced by receiving scholarships can be life changing. We have a need for compassionate nurses and the FNSNA wants to continue helping students at the undergraduate and graduate level reach their goals.
There unfortunately is no endless bag of money that the FNSNA can continue to use to award these students. So, I am here to ask my friends and family to help continue this legacy, to give in honor of a nurse or future nurse in your family, to give in honor of someone who has impacted your life, to give to honor a nurse that has taken care of you or your loved ones, or to give in honor of our friendship over the years. We together can make an impact on the future of nursing.
